Matthew Sermon Series

“The Gospel of Matthew is written to help it’s readers understand that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah.  Jesus is the fulfillment of Jewish prophecy.  It is through his presence that God establishes his Kingdom on earth. At Eastside we want to “seek Christ.”  We will be looking at some of Matthew to learn more about out Messiah, and specifically what the Kingdom of Heaven looks like.  Our belief is that Jesus calls us to live as he teaches here and now.  We will look at topics such as anger, sexuality, integrity, violence, worship, prayer, materialism and faithfulness.  These issues all quickly identify where the Kingdom of Heaven is present.
