What to Expect

The first thing you notice when you come to Eastside is that we are obviously renting some space from Skyline Middle School! Sometimes the parking can be tricky as you try to figure out which lot to pull in, but whether you are in the bus loop or the main lot, don’t worry, just come on in!

Once inside the main doors you’ll notice dress is informal and the coffee is flowing.  Come and enjoy coffee, tea and homemade goodies at 9:45am.   As a new group this gives us a chance to catch up, meet new folks and enjoy some conversation. If you have kids you will be invited to register them for our awesome kids program, REAL Kids. REAL Kids is for all children birth through 5th grade.

Even if you roll in a little late you can grab your coffee and join in the worship time. At 10 am we begin with a contemporary style of worship that represents the diversity within our church and community. After about 15 minutes of worship the children are dismissed to REAL Kids. We continue worshipping in song, drama, and word. Pastors Peter and Matt share the preaching responsibilities with occasional guests. Sermons attempt to take a look at God’s word starting with scripture’s original context and meaning in order to help Eastside Church apply the message in a practical and relevant way. Our service last about an hour and from there you can hang out and help us clean up or join some friends and grab a bite to eat.

At Eastside Church we are just as committed to our children’s worship service as we are to our own! We have a high energy, loving and caring environment for our children to sing, dance, learn and pray with their friend Jesus.

Once you come to Eastside if you have children you will be welcomed to the registration table where you will be required to sign your children up for the morning. If you don’t make it over before the service there is also a brief break within the adult service for you to register your kids. We take the responsibility of caring for your children very seriously. Your family will be given a specific number and registration card for your child; this is your child’s “ticket” in and your “ticket” to get them out!

Once inside REAL Kids (2 yr. old to 5th grade) your children will love their time. They will have a lesson on their own level that will include singing, dancing, story, drama, games, activities and conversation! Our goal is to help families as much as possible.

We also have a nursery for infants to two year-olds that is covered through out the entire service.

Thanks for the comment! The name of the song is “Your Love is Strong” by Jon Forman.

Do you know if they did a different arrangement of the song? I listened to it and it doesn’t sound at all the same…?
