Get Involved

At Eastside, we want to build relationships with one another and connect beyond our Sunday morning worship service.

Small Groups

One way you can get plugged in at Eastside Church is through small groups. We offer a variety of small groups, including families, single gender, content specific, age specific and life-stage specific groups. In our Eastside family, we share our joys, griefs, successes, challenges, calm and crazy days. We know we are meant to live and do life together. It starts here!

Volunteering

Eastside Church currently meets at Skyline Middle School on Sunday mornings. This means we are responsible for setting up and tearing down each Sunday in order to create a space and atmosphere that allows up to join together in worship. However, worship begins even before the Sunday service. We have numerous teams who help make Eastside thrive, from setting up to bringing snacks to making sure people know where things are.

Kids Club

Kids Club meets every Monday evening from 6-7pm in the Meriwether Hills neighborhood of Harrisonburg. Kids Club is an outreach ministry designed to share the Good News of Jesus with children, Pre-K through 5th grade. Kids Club grew out of Seth and Theresa Crissman’s ministry at Eastside Church. Since January 2013, multiple congregations in the Shenandoah Valley have partnered with the Crissman’s to launch their own Kids Club. Eastside Church has partnered with the Crissman’s, through VMMissions, since 2015.

Please join us for a time of fellowship, songs and a Bible story, followed by a meal together as we build relationships and share the love of Christ in the Meriwether Hills neighborhood! You can park along Colonial Drive and walk past the pool to see the white building where we meet.

Note: Youth Group at Meriwether Hills meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 7-8pm. Middle and High Schoolers gather together to hang out, eat dessert and learn of God’s love for them through personal application of the Bible. Both Kids Club and Youth Group at Meriwether Hills follow the Harrisonburg City Public School calendar. If there is a scheduled school holiday or cancellation due to inclement weather, Kids Club and Youth Group will also not meet.
